On Paper's Gift Guide: 12 Days of Holiday Giving, Day 12!

On the twelfth day of Christmas, I wrapped it all up

We made it! Now that you’ve taken care of everyone on your list, it’s time to wrap it all up with festive papers and ribbons from On Paper.

Sold by the sheet, our holiday papers range from seasonal botanical prints, nostalgic 50s inspired designs, and whimsical snow scenes. You might also find just the right paper among our traditional Florentine patterns, or a handmade treasure among our artist sheets.

Put a bow on it!

Should you need help pairing ribbon and wrap, just ask! We love any excuse to play among the double-faced satin and vintage metallic twine.

If wrapping isn’t your forte, never fear: glitter boxes to the rescue! They don’t shed a single speck of glitter and come in merry metallic shades of gold, rose gold, and silver.

All this talk pretty paper and ribbon got us wondering how it is we've come to wrap gifts. Down the rabbit hole of the internet we go. The first use of gift wrap is attributed to China in the 2nd century BCE, when monetary gifts were presented in paper of hemp, rice straw, and bamboo. So, the first wrapping paper was a lovely handmade envelope? We like it!
