It’s @ShortNorthArtsDistrict Virtual Gallery Hop! Wish we were NOT social distancing but we’re together on Facebook and Insta @onpaperohio. Did we mention our spring garden/Mom’s Day collection? Let us introduce you to Bok Choy Love by @Betsy Marie. Betsy Marie’s a local artist and graphic designer (plus Mom of two, wife, puzzle aficionado, lover of the outdoors…)! She finds endless inspiration in her garden and her kitchen. She creates stamped art using vegetables as her printing tool, capturing the beauty of food and celebrating the good they bring to our bodies and our land. 365 Letters a Year

I recently had the distinct pleasure of connecting with On Paper patron and all round excellent human being, Michael, to discuss a practice near and dear to our hearts: letter writing. We love it. We do it. We love talking about doing it. And while you’ll find a devoted group of letter writers aboard the good ship On Paper, none of us are doing what Michael is—sending 365 pieces of handwritten notes, cards, and letters in one year. Envelopes ripe for the stuffin' When he first mentioned his project several weeks ago, I played it decidedly uncool. 4 the Love, Part 3: Standout Invitations from the Last Year

It isn’t everyday that a bride describes her upcoming nuptials as a "Halloween-steampunk with top secret birthday surprise." It isn’t even once a year, or once in five years, or ten. April showers bring many letters

April is National Letter Writing Month. It is also National Poetry, Donate Life Awareness, Canine Fitness, and Fresh Celery Month, so it’s a busy time! Please forgive the tardiness of this post apropos of one of our most cherished activities, letter writing. We’re treating this as a library on/for/about letter writing to encourage our lovely readers to put pen to paper, stamp to envelope, and send away. Behold: Our Five Noteworthy National Letter Writing Month Sites! Refer to them early and often, and make National Letter Writing Month last all year long. Sometimes that blank sheet of stationery is intimidating, so if you’re looking for a prompt, peruse the helpful list at Write_On. A few of our favorites from their...

4 the Love, Part 2: Standout Invitations from the Last Year

Welcome back to our 4 the Love series, featuring invitations from the last year that represent some of our very favorite trends and decadent details. This next one is a true masterpiece, fit for a wedding in the Columbus Museum of Art. And, like a fine painting is stunning from afar and full of delightful secrets up close. Let’s take a look, shall we? At first view, you’re likely struck by the shine and light of the copper foil. (For the record, we still get happily distracted by it.) After you’ve blinked a couple times, take a minute to enjoy the artful mix three different fonts: a modern sans serif, a stately serif for the couples’ names, and a playful...
